Catherine and Robert McCarthy of Holbrook announce the engagement of their daughter Danielle Marie McCarthy of Dorchester to Brian Charles Harer of (withheld by brainharer.com pending advice of counsel), son of Lorraine and Richard Merrill of Tewksbury and William Harer of Malden.

The future bride is a graduate of Holbrook High School. She works as an MBTA operator in Boston.

The future bridegroom is a graduate of Minuteman Technical High School in Lexington. He works as a police officer for the MBTA.

"Wonderful!" exclaims an elated Freeman. "Brian and I will have something to talk about if we end up cellmates!...Me for refusing my community service sentence on a frameup ...and him for half a dozen actual offenses. I attended Minuteman Vocational Technical High School one summer, just before entering Beaver Country Day School. I took Math, English and Welding. The English course was a complete waste of my time.

Of course, this leads to another story about Freeman's career in media. "While I was at Minuteman, my father was involved in producing a (16mm.) commercial movie about the construction industry. A few scenes were shot at the school, and I appeared in the final cut, hammering nails into a stud. The movie was nationally distributed by the AGC, of which my father was a past President. It was one of the worst movies I've ever been involved with. My movies are much better! There's even one or two about my old schoolmate Brian Harer."
